NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND HEARINGS FOR ROANOKE VALLEY TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENTS
The Roanoke Valley Transportation Planning Organization (RVTPO) is seeking public input on an amendment to incorporate new transportation investments in the 2045 Roanoke Valley Transportation Plan. Comments will be accepted until Thursday, January 23, 2025, and hearings will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 313 Luck Avenue SW, Roanoke, VA. The RVTPO fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in all programs and activities.
The RVTPO Policy Board adopted the Roanoke Valley Transportation Plan (RVTP) on January 26th, 2023, and subsequently amended it on April 27th and November 9th, 2023. There has been a new project created that is a combination of three separate fully funded projects and a new phase of an already funded project in the Roanoke Valley Transportation Plan.

Public engagement- A 14-day public comment period will begin on Friday, January 10th, and will conclude on Thursday, January 23rd. A public hearing on this amendment has been advertised and scheduled for the RVTPO Policy Board meeting on February 27th, 2025.
