Blue Ridge and Interagency Council on homelessness – April 12, 2024

The Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission (RVARC), in partnership with the Blue Ridge Interagency Council on Homelessness, addresses regional challenges including homelessness in its meetings at 313 Luck Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA. These meetings are key platforms for dialogue and action on regional issues.

Officials from various counties and cities, including Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig, Franklin, Roanoke, Covington, Salem, Clifton Forge, Rocky Mount, and Vinton, will participate. The agenda covers roll call, introductions, agenda approval, and review of previous minutes, with a focus on homelessness. Presentations will highlight current challenges and collaborative strategies for addressing homelessness, aiming to foster idea exchange, resource distribution, and innovative solutions.

This session offers a chance for member governments to enhance collaboration on sustainable community-building, including housing, support services, and outreach. The meeting, open to the public and ADA-compliant, welcomes those needing special accommodations to contact RVARC in advance.
