Regional Legislative Priorities
The Regional Commission’s Legislative Committee has identified the top regional priorities for the General Assembly to consider for the 2025 legislative year. Priorities include adequate funding for I-81 and the secondary road network, school construction, workforce housing, and more.
Members of the Legislative Committee are Committee Chair Phil North, Roanoke County; Commission Chair Jim Wallace, Salem; Lorie Smith, Franklin County; Peter Volosin, City of Roanoke; and Debbie Laudermilk, Clifton Forge.
