Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) provides a full listing of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia);federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.

The Local Government Environmental Assistance Network provides environmental management, planning, funding, and regulatory information for local government elected and appointed officials, managers and staff. LGEAN is not intended to provide on-site compliance assistance to local governments but to give easy access to information and tools. LGEAN is one of EPA’s Compliance Assistance Centers that helps businesses, local governments, and federal facilities understand and comply with federal environmental requirements.

The FHWA administers discretionary programs through its various offices. These discretionary programs represent special funding categories where FHWA solicits for candidates and selects projects for funding based on applications received. Each program has its own eligibility and selection criteria that are established by law, by regulation, or administratively.
